Dear Librarian,

We invite you to participate in a survey on academic librarian retention.
The purpose of this survey is to discover how academic librarians define
successful retention efforts. The researchers also hope to ascertain and
disseminate best practices in retaining academic librarians. Your input
will help us further develop a definition of library retention that can be
used across all libraries that will reflect both academic librarian and
administrator perspectives.

If you choose to participate, you’ll be asked to fill out a 10-15 minute
survey consisting of 10 demographic questions meant to explain your library
context and 10 core questions that attempt to ascertain your libraries’
perspectives and activities related to library worker retention. The survey
will specifically ask you to think about how you would define retention for
your organization.

Participation in this study is voluntary. You can choose to complete the
survey or not, and may choose to stop the survey and leave the study at any
time.
