Florida State College at Jacksonville - South Campus is currently looking to fill a position for an Academic Tutor in Math and Science. At FSCJ, an Academic Tutor is responsible for providing tutoring support to students primarily within the Library and Learning Commons facility and online as needed. Science and Math tutoring sessions may occur either one on one or in small student groups. In addition, the Academic Tutor conducts student-oriented workshops on topics such as improving study habits and test taking skills. This position tracks and maintains tutoring service data contributing to the compilation of statistical reports on student achievement. The Academic Tutor will assist with the mentoring and evaluation of student tutors in the Science and Math disciplines at the South Campus location of Florida State College at Jacksonville.
