[COGS] Welcome to the New Academic & Fiscal Year!

Good Afternoon COGS Representatives and Funding Boards,

Welcome to the new fiscal and academic school year! As we prepare for classes to start back and virtual events, there are a few things we need to take care of in house. PLEASE READ THIS EMAIL IN ITS ENTIRETY.  In the coming weeks, please make sure you are completing:

  1.  FERPA Consent Waiver: HERE<https://fsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9MHmh9lHlRibbU1>. Yes, everyone will need to complete this again as we are now in the 2020-2021 school year. Completing this will ensure that we have the correct information for representatives and funding board members on the COGS website.
  2.  Review the Financial Manual & Pass the Exam: Please review the new & updated financial manual here<http://sga.fsu.edu/financial/sga_financial_manual_20_21.pdf>, complete, & PASS the financial exam by August 1st HERE<https://fsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5vQLK6V4KgXJiMR>. Everyone will need to do this again, even if you did it last year, as we are in a new fiscal year. Representatives and funding board members, please remember you cannot vote on any financial matters/funding request until you have completed and passed this.
  3.  Funding Boards please remember to complete the re-recognition process through Student Orgs and Involvement. The outline for this process can be found on Nole Central & here<https://union.fsu.edu/sac/involvement/get-recognition>. Additionally, it may be helpful to follow-up with your RSOs about completing this process.

Representatives, I have attached the bill packet for your meeting this Monday, July 20th at 6:30 PM via Zoom (https://fsu.zoom.us/j/93604159888 Meeting ID: 936 0415 9888). As always, if you are unable to attend please email the COGS Speaker (COGSSpeaker at admin.fsu.edu<mailto:COGSSpeaker at admin.fsu.edu>) and COGS Deputy Speaker for Finance (COGSDepSpeaker at admin.fsu.edu<mailto:COGSDepSpeaker at admin.fsu.edu>). We will return to our regular fall assembly meetings starting August 31st; representatives that are on summer leave will automatically be put back on the roaster for the August 31st meeting and no further action will be needed.

Funding Boards, I am working on updating your information and giving you access in Nole Central so please be on the lookout for an additional email coming from me soon about orientation/training for board members this fall.
