[Art-instructors] Haha Wangala Parade on April 13th 2-4pm on East Georgia Street

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Our neighborhood street, affectionately called the Republik of East Georgia had a parade 5-years ago to celebrate an artists birthday. Five years later, we are having another parade to celebrate the end of a period of toil, in life and to acknowledge new beginnings. In a specific East Asian culture, this is called the Haha Wangala Festival. Join the Citizens of the Republik of East Georgia to parade down our street with music and costumes. The parade honors those who came before and after us and love those that are standing next to us.  

This is a moment where we will stop worrying, work and lean into having fun. As the still vital 90-year old Wendall Berry, a poet-farmer-writer-activist-academic wrote, "Be Joyful, though you have considered all of the facts.”

All humans are welcome to participate or watch.
