Hello!

I hope this email finds you well and enjoying the summer. I want to reach out and let you know that we plan to hold the annual Fall Teaching Orientation on Tuesday, August 16th from 9 am until about 2:30. Lunch will be provided along with coffee in the morning. Please note that this orientation contains training that is required by the University for all instructors (adjunct and GTA alike) who will be teaching any class in 2022-2023.

If you are an adjunct faculty or graduate student who will be teaching a class for the Art Department in the 2022-2023 academic year (Fall or Spring), please be sure to reserve this date and time for this required training. GTAs must attend this orientation in order to keep your teaching award.

The orientation will provide valuable information and updates to help you better navigate the semester ahead. In addition to the university-required training, we will welcome you back to campus, make new introductions, and go over some topics including: materials budget spending, EHS (environmental health and safety), DNI (diversity and inclusion), facilities and policy updates, and lab and classroom updates.

Faculty, please reach out to any adjuncts in your area about attending this event. Please reach out to me, Allison Spence, or your area head if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing everyone in the fall and in the meantime, enjoy your summer!

All my best,
Anne
