Hi Faculty and Students,

As you have probably heard, the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine has been fully approved for people ages 16 and older by the Food and Drug Administration.

So, I want to forward you this information I just received from the Provost's Office regarding new vaccination sites on campus.-

Best,

Subject: Vaccinations available at 1851 this week

Colleagues, please see message below from Dr. Angela Chong, Associate VP for Student Affairs and Dean of Students.

Please consider assisting the Florida State University community by encouraging students, staff and other faculty to get vaccinated against COVID-19. At this time, Florida State University is only administering the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, which is now officially approved by the FDA.

This week, the COVID-19 vaccine is coming to our students in an effort to meet students where they naturally congregate. FSU students, faculty and staff can get a COVID-19 vaccine at 1851 on W Jefferson St. this week the following hours:

Wednesday 3:00-6:00 p.m.

Thursday 1:00-4:00 p.m.

Friday 8:30-11:30 a.m.

While no appointments are necessary for vaccination and walk-ins are accepted and encouraged, you can save time on site by creating an account with CDR Maguire prior to your arrival at 1851. Visit vaccine.fsu.edu<https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fvaccine.fsu.edu%2F%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR2e2ve1Jw6eUhOn-jEGLkzmX2x9ldhNIuR8ClHmVoTUnbX31ruULzBqbgg&h=AT0thRJfL0KPfV6Nk8eL7TxR0swmi9Os6kgA4zzz3Ur6UirYm64TRFLwemopzEFUnWzydfgPO7mePUWcldm-fsQ_BpX_yFYYcGAZyNncWokqy9TBUDltOGGDYLeyToFe6yV2Zg&__tn__=-UK-R&c%5B0%5D=AT21r3HMxH7ivc17ArgoeQiMWQN1PEFd1O-3lMBslJnNFD3rEchm3reK9TJM7IjHSbroFecXq-mJ6jnd7q_Pkm9yUBiJ_OUfDopYwgqLA3lYkAyCZJDKCMZ348No_qzutocDw_bTw53EFXhoCpJDpeB41s5bX5bA11LEweG1KaH2lYFp> to create your account.

Vaccination against COVID-19 is the best, most effective way to protect yourself and others from getting COVID-19 and preventing disruption of your studies, social activities, teaching, research or work. In addition to the mobile walk-in clinics, you can schedule a vaccination appointment at vaccine.fsu.edu<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/cl.s11.exct.net/?qs=1eba9f8351f424cace747d27cadcd6c4e2d3e5d452b0c47a1abecd3282e2b30981d8fac4d26a8a502b8e1b383796f0d18b01529d185b4770__;!!PhOWcWs!hVKI7s1YFKH_GCQCIEa4aPwHTXykK-kOhiTVYcSauwqJVtDzDzgJF2v06qESHn4$>. And now through October 1, students can register to win valuable prizes by getting fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with the “Your Shot to Win<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/cl.s11.exct.net/?qs=1eba9f8351f424caf0d050e3690203845d261b29da5726d1d0508a6b7ca05397f4fba1d9557292f4e9c16e57f6d86d29bce6d5abc9988eac__;!!PhOWcWs!hVKI7s1YFKH_GCQCIEa4aPwHTXykK-kOhiTVYcSauwqJVtDzDzgJF2v0Uuz40J0$>” campaign.

Based on the Board of Governors’ direction, all testing, proof of vaccination, or proof of COVID-19 in the last 90 days is strongly encouraged, but voluntary. Florida State University expects all students to participate in the University’s mitigation efforts by getting vaccinated and wearing masks.
