[Art-instructors] From Lilian: End of Semester Important Dates and Thank You

Hello Instructors,

Congratulations! You have done it — you have successfully made it through a full semester of remote teaching . Thank you for all of the hard work you have put in to make this possible. Please thank the staff who contributed to the semester’s success as well as reminding your students of their patience working through these difficult times.

Below are some end-of-semester and beginning spring term dates to be mindful of:

Final Exam Policy
Please be sure you are following the policy for Final Exams. This memorandum is disseminated every semester and is available on the Office of Faculty Development and Advancement website, http://fda.fsu.edu, under Academics (link to pdf<https://fda.fsu.edu/sites/g/files/upcbnu636/files/Media/Files/Academic%20Policies/Final_Exam_Memo_Fall_2020_Revised_12-3-2020.pdf>). Final Grades
Grades are due Tuesday, December 15 at 4pm. If you have any system difficulties, please contact Keith Patterson (kpatterson2 at fsu.edu<mailto:kpatterson2 at fsu.edu> ).

Holiday Hours
Friday, December 18 is the last day FSU offices will be open for normal business hours, after which offices will be closed for winter break. Offices will open in the new year Monday, January 4.


Returning Spring Semester – Important Dates

Beginning of Spring term - REMOTE

If you are teaching next term, as a friendly reminder, the spring semester will begin Wednesday, Jan 6, 2021; however, all classes will be taught remotely through Friday, Jan. 15, 2021. To be clear, this means all spring semester face-to-face, hybrid, flex and remote classes will meet remotely between Jan. 6, 2021, and Jan. 15, 2021. All spring semester face-to-face, hybrid and flex classes scheduled to meet in-person can begin face-to-face instruction Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021. FSU will be closed Monday, Jan 18, 2021, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday and classes will not meet.
