Dear Environmental Certificate students and other students interested in environmental, energy, land use, and natural resources law,

This e-mail is a quick reminder that some deadlines for applying for federal jobs and internships are fast approaching. For 3Ls, applications for the Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division (ENRD) Honors Program<https://www.justice.gov/legal-careers/application-tips-and-checklist> are due on Sunday, September 8, at 11:59 PM.

For 2Ls, applications for a spring 2020 clerkship with the DOJ ENRD<https://www.justice.gov/legal-careers/job/spring-2020-law-clerk> are now open (they have been open since August 1), and the window for applying closes after September 25. (In other words, the deadline for applying is September 25.) The agency does not specify the timing of the deadline, so you should perhaps assume that it is 5 PM eastern on September 25 just to be safe.

1Ls-stay tuned. You may apply for a summer 2020 clerkship with DOJ ENRD<https://www.justice.gov/legal-careers/job/summer-2020-law-clerk> starting on December 1, 2019.

3Ls, also keep your eye on Presidential Management Fellows<https://www.pmf.gov/become-a-pmf/2020-application/> (PMF) application deadlines. The tentative application window for this program is scheduled to open at noon on October 3, 2019, and to close at noon on October 17, 2019. This program helps multiple federal agencies, including environmental and natural resources agencies such as the Department of the Interior-recruit students who are just graduating<https://www.pmf.gov/media/5551445/pmf_program_flyer_11-08-18.pdf>. The application process is a rigorous and multi-step process, so please keep a close eye on the deadlines if you are interested. Essentially, once you are selected as a PMF or a PMF finalist, multiple federal agencies might consider hiring you.

Best wishes,

HJW
