[Isl] Aging and technology expert Jeff Kaye to give talk Thursday and lead panel discussion

Jeff Kaye, M.D., of Oregon Health & Science University and a national expert on aging, will speak on technology and research on aging and longevity at 3:30 p.m. Thursday (December 15) in the Broad Auditorium of Florida State University’s Claude Pepper Center.

The public is invited to attend or to participate via Zoom at https://fsu.zoom.us/j/95462193118.

His talk is co-sponsored by the Institute for Successful Longevity, the Claude Pepper Center and the Pepper Institute on Aging and Public Policy.

A reception will follow his address.

Earlier in the day, Kaye will join FSU researchers in a panel discussion on “Technology for Home Health Monitoring” at 10 a.m. in the Tallahassee Senior Center, 1400 N. Monroe St., near Lake Ella.

Joining Kaye in the panel discussion will be FSU researchers:

  *   Neil Charness, distinguished research professor of psychology and director of the Institute for Successful Longevity.
  *   Miles Taylor, professor of sociology and director of the Pepper Institute on Aging and Public Policy.
  *   Dawn Carr, associate professor of sociology and director of the Claude Pepper Center.

The public is invited to the panel discussion as well, and the panelists will take questions from the audience.
