Subject: Seeking a co-PI for a project on "active aging"
Hi Neil,
Amy Kim, an Associate Professor here in the College of Education, will be submitting a Multidisciplinary Support (MDS) grant proposal to the CRC next month. The purpose of the study will be to pilot test and evaluate a 6-week mobile-app-guided moderate-to-vigorous physical activity program, examining its effects on the mental health and physical activity level of older adults (see attachment and the message below for more details). In addition to submitting an MDS proposal to the CRC, Amy intends to subsequently seek funding from NIH.
Amy would like someone whose research interests are well-aligned with this topic to join her as one of the co-PIs on this project. I’m hoping that in your role as the director of the Pepper Institute you might either identify someone who would be interested in working with Amy and/or send a message to the Institute’s affiliates, letting them know about this opportunity. In either case, please have the interested individual(s) contact Amy Kim<mailto:akim4 at fsu.edu>. I would appreciate it if you could be of help. Thanks!
Bob

Subject: A brief statement
Hello Bob,
Please find the attached – a brief statement of my research project that will be submitted to the upcoming FSU CRC MDS program (pre-screening due date: November 9, final due date: November 19).
As we discussed before, for this project, it would be great if we can have two more experts on board:
1. Expert on “Active Aging and mental health”
2. Expert on “moderate-to-vigorous physical activity among older adults (aging)”
If you need any further information, please let me know anytime!
As always, thank you very much for all your support on this project!
Sincerely,
Amy
