Nicole Ennis, Ph.D., an Associate Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Social Medicine in the College of Medicine, has joined the Institute for Successful Longevity as a Faculty Affiliate.

Dr. Ennis received her Ph.D. from Kent State University in 2001 (Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology Track). Dr. Ennis completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Miami through a National Institute of Mental Health training grant focused on biopsychosocial research in immunology and AIDS.
The goal of Dr. Ennis' current program of research is to improve patient care among medically underserved populations through evidence-based behavioral interventions in the context of learning health-care systems. Her research aims to understand and intervene on factors that influence health outcomes among patients coping with HIV/AIDS and other chronic/life-limiting illnesses.

In addition, Dr. Ennis' work examines and identifies implementation strategies that improve patient care in real world settings.
