An important message from FSU Office of Human Resources

This message has been approved by Shelley Lopez, Director, Communications/Training & Organizational Development, for distribution to all Department Representatives.

This message is shared on behalf of our partners in Information Technology Services.
Changes are coming to the FSU role review and certification process. In addition to the supervisor's quarterly review of all roles, we will now require owners of roles that access Dates of Birth or Social Security Numbers to validate all employees with that role on a quarterly basis.
We will also automatically request role changes from supervisors whenever an employee changes roles, including transfers, promotions, or terminations.
These changes will increase security by preventing permissions creep, which is the gradual accumulation of unnecessary permissions over time. The process itself will not change and will still be hosted within myFSU HR.
