Background Check Rates
After a careful review of our criminal history background check fee structure, we are revising our rates. The new fee structure reflects changes in fees from the various background check components, packages, and vendors. As with previous guidance, statutory and county fees will be assessed directly to the department. The rate changes outlined below will be effective for all background checks conducted after July 1, 2025, and the new rates will be reflected in the following month's billing cycle.

As a reminder, the University Background Check payment process transitioned to the Auxiliary Accounts Receivable and Billing process effective July 1, 2018. All departments must have an active Purchase Order each year. * FL statewide searches are run in all packages, and fees are integrated into the package price and not passed through to departments. NY statewide is applied only with NY address history, and fees are applied for each alias searched. Other statewide searches are run only on an as-needed basis to confirm data from other sources. MVR fees are not applicable.
