An important message from FSU Office of Human Resources

This message has been approved by Shelley Lopez, Program Director, Communications/Special Projects, for distribution to all Department Representatives.
The University's Bargaining Team has created a joint committee with the Graduate Assistants United to discuss pay structure, appointment lengths, and summer stipends for E&G funded graduate assistants.
The committee is charged with reviewing the aggregate numbers for various appointment lengths and the number of appointments that result in stipends being prorated for less than an academic year (9-month). The committee will also consider and discuss the appropriate standard for the duration of appointments and the circumstances where a special limited appointment is appropriate.
To assist the Bargaining Team with reviewing different appointment practices, please remind your Department's Graduate Director (or other appropriate personnel) to complete the survey below by Thursday, February 11.
