[Hpc-notice] REMINDER: HPC and other RCC services going offline this Thurs, May 27 - Tues, June 1

Greeting HPC Users,

This is a reminder that the power to the Sliger Datacenter will be shut-off over the upcoming holiday weekend.

In preparation for the power outage, the RCC will begin a system shutdown at 8am this Thursday, May 27. This means all RCC services will be offline from Thursday through late afternoon Tuesday, June 1 including the HPC, GPFS Storage, and Archival Storage.

We are asking for your patience, since we cannot guarantee a specific time that the systems will be operational. The contractor expects power and cooling to be restored mid-day on Tuesday, which will require our swift action to bring up everything else.

We will report on the operational status of all RCC systems late afternoon on June 1st. We will also publish a notification if anything unexpected arises, as well as when everything is functional.
