[Fla-facrlboard] Nomination time

Good morning Becky,

Thank you for taking this on, I think it looks good as well.

I know we had talked briefly last year about new wording for creating an agreement for a nominee to put in the time commitment to serve prior to standing for election. Maybe instead of “Self-nominations are welcome. If nominating someone else, please get his/her permission first” in the initial call for nominees, we could just say “Please feel free to self-nominate or nominate a talented colleague.” After receiving the nominations, we could then contact all of the nominees who are not self-nominees to confirm that they are prepared to stand for election to the position for which they have been nominated. What do you think?

Hi everyone,

It’s time to solicit nominations for our 6 open positions.    Attached is the draft nomination email.  Nominating committee, we need to start identifying likely candidates for our president-elect, secretary, treasurer, and 3 board members-at-large.  We are especially seeking central and north Florida representation.

Would you all please look over this letter, and see if it meets with your approval?  Guy, we will need to create a new survey in Survey Monkey as well.
