[Fla-facrlboard] FACRL 2018 Hotel Recommendation

Hi everyone,
As noted in our meeting this week I have been working hard to secure a hotel and meeting space for our annual meeting. I just received the proposal below and would like to recommend we move forward with contracting with the Marriott. While this is not the lowest room rate that I received, they will provide us with complementary meeting space and AV for the board meeting. I just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts before we move forward.

Thanks Sarah!

Yes, we will give you a full days use of our meeting space set up for 15 board room style with extra seats in the room. This room will be available from 8am-7pm on Thursday 10/18. Please let me know if you need to arrange for any catering to be in the room (we will of course have water available in the room). We also have a screen/projector already in the room  (drop down from the ceiling) that you can plug directly into.

If your BOD approves, will reservations be made via rooming list or individuals pay on their own?
Also would this be contract with Ave Maria University or Florida Association of College and Research Libraries.

Hi Tracy,
Thank you for your reply. This is looking in line with what we were thinking, but before I send it to the Board of Directors, I would like to confirm the meeting space is in fact complementary. We would need a board room setup for 13 with a few extra seats along the outside. Would this type of setup be available?
