Requirements for Accepted Proposals

If your proposal is accepted, the following materials are due by September 4, 2026:

  *   Pre-recorded presentation

Evaluation and Awards

Submissions will be evaluated based on originality, innovation, organization, and clarity. Presentation Formats

Not sure which format fits your work?

  *   Papers: More in-depth, formal presentations.
  *   Posters: Visual presentations that highlight research or projects, allowing for informal, one-on-one discussion with attendees.
  *   Lightning Talks: Brief, focused presentations centered on a single key idea.

We strongly encourage submissions from current MLIS students and recent graduates. This is an excellent opportunity to share your work in a supportive and collegial environment.

Abstract Writing Workshops

We will be hosting abstract writing workshops for those who would like support and feedback. These informal drop-in sessions provide an opportunity to receive feedback, brainstorm ideas, and get support at any stage of the writing process — from initial concept development to final revisions.
