Qualifications and Key Responsibilities:

  *
Master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience. pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
  *
Provides strategic leadership for the planning, development, and management of library facilities and spaces to support student success, teaching, research, and community engagement.
  *
Leads long-range space planning initiatives and renovation projects that align with institutional priorities, evolving user needs, and emerging trends in academic library environments.
  *
Oversees building operations, maintenance, security, compliance, and space utilization to ensure library facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming.
  *
Collaborates with campus partners, including Physical Facilities, Campus Planning, Environmental Health & Safety, Information Technology Services, and other stakeholders to advance facilities and capital improvement projects.
  *
Assesses current and future space needs, analyzes utilization data, and develops recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  *
Oversees emergency preparedness planning and ensures compliance with fire safety, ADA accessibility, and other regulatory requirements.
  *
Demonstrates excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across the institution.
  *
Demonstrates knowledge of current trends in academic library spaces and experience planning and implementing facility improvements that enhance teaching, learning, research, and student success.

Salary is $80,000 to negotiable. The anticipated start date is October 12, 2026.
