The Hunt Library, located on the Daytona Beach, Florida, Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), is recruiting for an Associate Director for Library Operations & Access Services, a non-tenure track position.  As a member of the library Management Team, the successful candidate will manage the Access Services department, facilitate collaborative relationships between the library and campus partners, and participate in library administration.  We seek a collegial leader whose enthusiasm will encourage and support creative approaches to empowering and mentoring staff, leading projects, solving problems, and developing user-centric programs or services.



Duties include:
*         Leading the Access Services department and supervising six, including one professional librarian.
*         Participating in library administration, including serving as Acting Director in Director's absence.
*         Maintaining and updating circulation functions in the Alma LSP.
*         Oversight of the library facility.
*         Budget and planning responsibilities in collaboration with the Management Team.


Required qualifications:
*         ALA-accredited master's degree in library or information science
*         A minimum of two years management experience, including supervision of full-time employees
*         Experience with Alma (or relevant LSP) circulation functions
*         Ability to work in a diverse environment and interact and collaborate with individuals of different backgrounds
*         Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
*         Excellent written and oral communication skills



Preferred qualifications:
*         Academic library experience
*         Library access services/circulation experience
*         Experience collaborating with organizational partners
*         Familiarity with budgeting and planning
*         Experience coordinating teams
