Dear Classics Majors,

Please take note of this career workshop, which should be very helpful and informative for all Classics majors:

Dr. Nancy de Grummond of the FSU Classics Department and members of Eta Sigma Phi Honors Society are hosting a workshop called "Careers in Classics." There will be a panel of three FSU alumni who earned degrees in the Classics and have gone on to work in different careers. Each panelist will talk about their experiences in the classics and their career paths that brought them to their current position, and we will have a Q&A following their talks for students to ask any questions. Following this, Career Center Liaison for the Humanities, Cathy Barrios, will talk about Career Center resources for students here at FSU.

The event is Monday, November 16 @ 6 PM. Students can register at this Zoom link: https://fsu.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJcrf-yhqjsuHdWUIPcRJsvZAsHrC7CgQyTA

Here are our alumni speakers:

Joseph McGehee (Class of 2015, BA in Classics, Greek, and Latin; 3rd-year law student at FSU College of Law)
Matthew Hunter (Class of 2012, BA in Classical Civilizations, Class of 2014 MA in Latin; Digital Scholarship Librarian with FSU Office of Digital Research and Scholarship)
Amy Hornick (Class of 1989, BA in Classics/Latin, High School Latin teacher)
