Reps,

Hope you all are having a great Tuesday! Earlier this afternoon, I received a request to nominate a representative to sit on a discussion group that the FSU Center for Health Advocacy and Wellness (CHAW) is putting on about developing a strategy to deal with issues related to Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD). The details of the discussion group are listed below.

If you would be interested in sitting on the discussion group, please let me know as soon as possible. It is not a requirement that we have someone in the group, we just wanted to make everyone aware of the opportunity.

See you all at the Retreat on Saturday, agenda to come!

(EMAIL FROM CHAW)

Hello,

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our approach to student well-being, we are organizing a focused discussion group on Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD). We believe that including diverse perspectives is crucial in developing effective strategies and initiatives. To ensure that the student voice is adequately represented, we would like to invite you to nominate a student representative(s) to participate in this important focus group. The aim is to gather insights, feedback, and suggestions from a variety of students regarding AOD awareness, education, and support within our community.

Details of the AOD Focus Group:

Date: March 20th, 21st, 22nd , 25th, 26th
Time: 12pm - 1pm
Location: CHAW Suite HWC 4th Floor
Duration: Approximately 1 hour

Agenda:
Overview of current AOD initiatives and policies
Open discussion on student experiences and concerns related to AOD
Brainstorming session for potential improvements or additions to current programs
Q&A and feedback collection

We believe that involving students directly in this conversation will provide valuable perspective. The insights gathered will contribute to the development of initiatives that are more student-centered, relevant, and effective. To nominate a student representative(s), please provide their name and contact information.

We appreciate your commitment to the well-being of our students and look forward to a collaborative and constructive discussion.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards,
