Dear FSU College of Education Faculty and Graduate Students,



On behalf of the Marvalene Hughes Research in Education Conference Planning Committee (Gillian Gregory, Garret Hall, Shouping Hu, Shaofeng Li, and Ryan Rodenberg), I’m excited to announce that the application portal for the Marvalene Hughes Research in Education Conference and the Robert M. Gagné Research Prize competition is now open!



The Marvalene Hughes Research in Education Conference will take place in the Stone Building on Friday, March 31, 2023.



By participating in the Marvalene Hughes event, graduate students and faculty are also eligible to receive funding to support travel to national and international research conferences. A few important notes about this year’s conference travel funding:
·     This year, Dean Damon Andrew has committed to up to $2,000 in travel support per successful graduate student and faculty applicant to fund travel to the national or international conference at which the research will be presented;
·     Each travel award can only be applied for costs associated with a single conference (not split across multiple conferences);
·     Funding is available to support conference travel which takes place between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023;
