Tuesday May 19: First day to apply for financial aid deferments and delayed delivery loans for summer sessions A, B and F.

Friday, May 22: For summer sessions A, B and F, Last day to pay or defer tuition, housing, or fees for all students, including veterans who are not using a veteran deferment, without a $100.00 late fee. Veterans should contact a VA representative with questions.

Monday, May 25: Memorial Day observed. No classes.

TOEFL iBT and GRE General Test Changes

ETS has announced that students impacted by the coronavirus will be able to take the TOEFL iBT and GRE General Test at home until test centers can be reopened. Testing will be conducted through the use of live remote proctoring.

Three elementary education students - Sarah Van Keuren, Elizabeth Greiner, and Mikayla Rickard - received university honors medallions during a special virtual ceremony. These three students earned at least 18 Honors points in order to fulfill the general honors program requirements. This year's graduating class had the largest number of honor medallion-recipients to date, with 383 total graduates earning the distinction. "By earning an honors medallion, you have already demonstrated a desire to challenge yourself and a motivation to succeed," President John Thrasher told honorees. "These values will serve you well - both in the workplace and in life."

Program: Sport Management (Ph.D.)

A. Lamont Williams, a doctoral candidate in Sport Management, is currently working on his dissertation on the potential adverse effects of collegiate athletics on student-athletes of color. He has research interests in Critical Race Theory, intercollegiate athletics, civil rights, anti-discrimination law, antitrust law, and composition studies. He has authored articles in English academic journals and works with the Florida State University Department of Athletics as a strategic academic coach and mentor for football and beach volleyball athletes.
