Important Dates & Deadlines

Friday, April 24:

  *   Last Day of Classes.
  *   Deadline for submission of all Spring 2020 Comprehensive Exam/Portfolio results (Masters/Specialist students), Diagnostic/Qualifying Exam Results and Doctoral Preliminary Exam results to OASIS, 2301 Stone Building.
  *   Deadline for Spring 2020 admitted Educator Preparation graduate program students to submit the appropriate online Educator Preparation Application and for the receipt all official passing FTCE GK exam scores by Florida State University.
  *   Last day for thesis and dissertation and students graduating this semester to receive an email from Manuscript Clearance confirming final manuscript clearance.
  *   Last day to submit ServScript hours online.
  *   Last day to petition Academic Dean for a reduction in course load (requires documentation of University-approved extenuating circumstances).
  *   Last day to withdraw from the University.
  *   Last day to apply for AA Degree at the Office of Undergraduate Studies, UCA 3400.
  *   Veterans' Deferments Expire.
  *   Full tuition payment must be received to avoid a late payment fee.

TOEFL iBT and GRE General Test Changes

ETS has announced that students impacted by the coronavirus will be able to take the TOEFL iBT and GRE General Test at home until test centers can be reopened. Testing will be conducted through the use of live remote proctoring.

This year, the College of Education's nominee was Nik Webster, Ph.D. student in the Department of Sport Management and outgoing chair of the COE Student Leadership Council. Student Spotlight: Darren Gaddis

Hometown: Vero Beach, FL
Program: International and Multicultural Education (Ph.D.)

Prior to attending Florida State University, Darren received his master's in International Education from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He selected the International and Multicultural Education Ph.D. program at FSU, which allows him to deepen his understanding of policy as well as critically analyze issues important in the field. He is currently serving as the president of LEARN, which is the recognized student organization for ELP students. LEARN is centered around four main pillars: leadership, education, activism, and research network. His research interests broadly focus on LGBTQ+ undergraduate students in South Africa and their experiences within higher education.
