Good afternoon! Please see below (and the attached documents) for some important information for summer 2019 and fall 2019.

Drop/Add
May 11–May 16, 2019 – Summer A & B add/drop registration window.
June 22–June 27, 2019 – Summer C add/drop registration window.
Students are tuition/fee liable for any coursework remaining on their schedule after the drop/add deadline.

First Day of Classes
May 13, 2019 – Classes begin for sessions A & B.
June 24, 2019 – Classes begin for session C.

Late Registration ($100.00 late registration fee.)
May 13–May 16, 2019 – Summer A & B late registration.
June 24–June 27, 2019 – Summer C late registration.
Late registration fees will not be waived

Fourth Day of Classes
May 17, 2019 – Sessions A & B.
June 28, 2019 – Session C.

  *   Last day to Drop/Add and have fees adjusted (Students are liable for all tuition/fees for courses still on their schedules after 11:59p.m., Eastern U.S. time.)
  *   Last day to add a course without Academic Dean’s permission
  *   Last day to cancel enrollment and have fees removed

Summer 2019 Graduation Application Period
May 20 - May 31, 2019 – Apply online at https://my.fsu.edu<https://my.fsu.edu/default>.
Please visit http://registrar.fsu.edu/services/graduation/ for more details. (NOTE: You are required to apply for graduation even if you do not intend to attend the Commencement Ceremony).

End of prorated 7th week of the semester:
Summer A – June 28
Summer B – May 31
Summer C – July 12

  *   Last day to submit form requesting S/U grading or to change S/U option back to regular grade.
  *   Last day to reduce course load without permission of Academic Dean. Dean’s permission required to drop below minimum hours.
  *   Last day for doctoral students to take and pass their preliminary examination in order to add or convert dissertation hours for the current semester.
  *   Last Day to drop a course without receiving a grade.
  *   Last Day to withdraw from school without receiving a grade.

June 24, 2019 - Last day for doctoral candidates to submit doctoral dissertation to The Graduate School for pre-defense format review. ALL initial manuscripts MUST be submitted by this date in order to be eligible to graduate this semester. *

July 8, 2019 - Last day for master’s thesis students to submit their thesis to The Graduate School for pre-defense format review. ALL initial manuscripts MUST be submitted by this date in order to be eligible to graduate this semester. *

July 18, 2019 - Last day for doctoral Prospectus approval during the Summer 2019 semester in order to graduate in Fall 2019. Prospectus must be approved by the academic dean at least four (4) months prior to Dissertation Defense. Note: This date is four (4) months from The Graduate School’s Fall 2019 final manuscript clearance deadline of November 18, 2019.

July 22, 2019 – Final manuscript submission deadline. Last day for submission of the post-defense, content-corrected thesis or dissertation and required forms to The Graduate School (by midnight Eastern U.S.).  All approvals must be obtained before the online forms are submitted to the Manuscript Clearance Advisor. *

August 2, 2019

  *   Deadline for submission of all summer 2019 Comprehensive Exam/Portfolio results (Masters/Specialist students), Diagnostic Exam results, Doctoral Preliminary Exam results to OASIS, 2301 Stone Building.
  *   Deadline for submission of summer 2019 Graduate Certificate Admission<https://education.fsu.edu/degrees-and-programs/certificate-programs> online forms and summer 2019 Graduate Certificate Completion<https://education.fsu.edu/degrees-and-programs/certificate-programs> online forms to OASIS. (Departments must first review submissions. Please allow extra time for this approval.)
  *   Deadline for summer 2019 admitted Educator Preparation graduate program students to submit the appropriate online Educator Preparation Application<https://education.fsu.edu/student-resources/student-academic-services-oasis/for-graduate-students> and all official passing FTCE GK exam<http://www.fl.nesinc.com/> scores to Florida State University.
  *   Last day for thesis and dissertation and students graduating this semester to receive an email from Manuscript Clearance confirming final clearance.

Friday, August 2, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. – Summer 2019 Commencement Ceremony for the College of Education.

REGISTRATION**
Fall 2019 registration reopens July 18-August 2. Please register before early registration closes, to avoid late registration fees. For additional registration deadlines, please see the summer 2019 and fall 2019 academic calendars and enrollment appointment calendars at http://registrar.fsu.edu/calendar/.  (Please bookmark this page.) Late registration fees will not be waived.

As a reminder: All students are required to acknowledge a Student Financial Responsibility Agreement before enrolling in classes each term.  This means that a registration hold was placed on every student’s record by Student Business Services before registering for courses.  The Student Financial Responsibility Agreement will appear as a “To Do List” item on the student’s MyFSU portal. Once the student acknowledges the agreement, the registration hold will be lifted instantly. If you have not already acknowledged the Agreement, please do so immediately.

**OASIS cannot register students in courses. If you need registration assistance or have questions about course registration, please directly contact the academic department offering the course(s) in which you wish to enroll.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Doctoral Students:

  *   Preliminary exams and dissertation defenses require registration. Most departments require registration for diagnostic/qualifying exam. – Contact your department academic coordinator for details.

  *   A signed program of study <https://education.fsu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/POS-Doctoral-PDF-2017_rev28April2017_ver2.pdf> must be submitted to the Office of Academic Services and Intern Support (OASIS) by the end of the third semester in the program.

  *   All doctoral students who are admitted to candidacy must be enrolled for a minimum of two (2) dissertation credit hours each term (including summer). Minimum hours requirements may be different for international students and for students on assistantship. Continuous enrollment in dissertation hours is a requirement for graduation clearance.

  *   Doctoral diagnostic/qualifying exams must be successfully completed before the end the second semester in the doctoral program. The Diagnostic/Qualifying Exam Results form must be submitted to OASIS.

  *   Doctoral annual evaluations<https://education.fsu.edu/student-resources/student-academic-services-oasis/for-graduate-students> must be submitted to OASIS by July 1 each year. Program specific evaluations are found under the “Doctoral Annual Evaluation Forms” heading on the “For Graduate Students<https://education.fsu.edu/student-resources/student-academic-services-oasis/for-graduate-students>” website. Outdated evaluation forms will not be accepted. Please contact your major professor for questions.

Master’s/Specialist’s Students:

  *   Comprehensive exams, thesis defenses and portfolio defenses require registration. – Contact your department academic coordinator for details.

Student are responsible for submission of all require forms and documents. Failure to submit required forms will result in registration holds and may result in a delay in degree conferral.
