You are invited to an artist talk featuring Kari Cahill, a site-responsive visual artist whose paintings are featured in Talamh agus Teanga. Working with natural materials to create bio-pigment, Cahill’s paintings become intertwined with the landscape through color, texture, and emotion as she creates visceral, bold works dedicated to place. This event is free and open to the public.

Kari Cahill creates abstract landscapes from materials harvested from and processes found within the landscape itself. Her talk may appeal to anyone interested in:

abstraction as a political gesture
foraging as artistic practice and resource for artistic production
broader themes of art and ecology
