[Art-instructors] 10/25 Fall Kick Off event + Faculty and Staff Gathering

Dear Department Faculty and Staff,

Next Wednesday, October 25 the department will host our Fall Kick Off Event from 5-6:30pm in the FAB lobby and Fallon Theatre! What to expect: a number of student organizations will have tables and participatory activities (screen printing, pumpkin painting, clay projects, and more) set up in the lobby; we hope to activate the gallery space; we will also convene in the theatre for faculty introductions, and unveiling of a few new projects (3 new gallery logos!!); and there will be treats (popcorn), prizes, and more. Many celebratory activities.
Attendance by all faculty is mandatory. If you are teaching during this time, plan to bring your class to the event. We want the entire department to participate, and encouragement and reminders to your students over the next week is needed and appreciated. Thank you for your help in hyping!

The faculty and staff gathering will be held that same evening, directly after from 6:30-9:30pm at Proof Brewery at 1320 S. Monroe St.. This event is for faculty and staff only. It is a catered event, and we have a reserved area on the patio for our party.

Both of these events were planned for earlier in the semester but due to the hurricane and university closure we needed to reschedule. This has given more time to expand the event, and we hope it will be a special evening for all.
