[Art-instructors] Where + Wear + Ware - Meet the Artists TOMORROW @TCA, and LOVE Letterpress Open house Valentine Event with SCAP TODAY @ FAR

Dear All,

Where + Wear + Ware, curated by three FSU Alumni, April Webb, Tenee’ Hart, and Leah Gossett, is currently on view at the Thomasville Center for the Arts (TCA) in Thomasville, GA. A special opportunity to view the work and meet the artists is being offered tomorrow: Saturday, February 11, 10am – 4pm! The Center’s beautiful historic building hosts a rotating exhibitions program featuring the works of seasoned and emerging contemporary artists. It is a lovely drive from Tallahassee, and the historic downtown offers much to do and see. An excellent Saturday adventure can be had.
There is no entry cost to view the exhibition.

When traditional concepts of home evolve and items within have outlived their functionality but maintain their cultural significance, what does that say about where we live? Dedicated to materiality, this contemporary exhibition is meticulously crafted through ‘handiwork’ methods passed down by women across generations.

Come letterpress print Valentine postcards with Small Craft Advisory Press at the Facility for Arts Research. Try your hand at printing using our Vandercook printing presses to create unique Valentines for your boos, baes, and butter snoozles. We’ll provide instruction, paper, and an array of valentine-themed printing materials to help you create your Valentines. After printing, we’ll help you trim down your valentines so they’re ready to pop in the mail. We’ll also have writing utensils on hand so you can complete your postcards with odes to your loved ones before you leave. This event is free and open to the public.
