[Art-instructors] Action Alert: Please contact your legislator TODAY to protect state arts funding

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Last year I received funding for a large socially engaged project to work with at risk communities for water sustainability during a hurricane. The funding is tied to how our legislators vote. I’m sure most people will have gotten rid of this message without reading it. It effects all of the other organizations like 621, and many other Tallahassee and Leon county arts. Please consider taking action on behalf of our community.  We all have to stick together and be the glue of our culture to push forward and make it better.

Line 3193 - Culture and Museum Grants - They're recommending $136,428. This has GOT to be a data entry error. We've NEVER seen anything like this before because this is only .3% of the ask!


Line 3200 - Cultural Facilities - They're recommending $5,966,722, but it's not according to ranking. They need to be funded according to ranking.


HOUSE

Line 3192A - Culture Builds Florida - They're recommending $3,077,996 (100%). Ask them to protect this. The Senate completely eliminated this line number!

Line 3193 - Culture and Museum Grants - They're recommending $32,404,632. We like this. It's 70% of the entire request.

Line 3200 - Cultural Facilities - They're recommending $500,000. Encourage the Senate's number applied according to ranking.
