The following guidance applies to recipients of NSF Cooperative Agreements

On Wednesday, November 10th, the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force issued updated guidance for Federal contractors and subcontractors<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.saferfederalworkforce.gov/downloads/Guidance*20for*20Federal*20Contractors_Safer*20Federal*20Workforce*20Task*20Force_20211110.pdf__;JSUlJSUlJQ!!PhOWcWs!hN9cy4oD78e4kEr9ufc_e5iSOfPs0aFgA-Wc9TpIE_DO_jk6uONWJf_fuB2j8V2FptA$> (Guidance). The updated Guidance states that employees working on covered contract and contract-like instruments (which include cooperative agreements) under the requirements of Executive Order (EO) 14042, Ensuring Adequate COVID Safety Protocols for Federal Contractors<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.federalregister.gov/documents/2021/09/14/2021-19924/ensuring-adequate-covid-safety-protocols-for-federal-contractors__;!!PhOWcWs!hN9cy4oD78e4kEr9ufc_e5iSOfPs0aFgA-Wc9TpIE_DO_jk6uONWJf_fuB2jSE2IxrI$>, will now need to have their final vaccination dose by January 4, 2022, so that they are fully vaccinated by January 18, 2022. After that date, all covered employees must be fully vaccinated by the first day of the period of performance on a newly awarded covered contract, and by the first day of the period of performance on a newly awarded cooperative agreement, or on a funding amendment to an existing cooperative agreement. The updated Guidance can be found at: https://www.saferfederalworkforce.gov/contractors/<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.saferfederalworkforce.gov/contractors/__;!!PhOWcWs!hN9cy4oD78e4kEr9ufc_e5iSOfPs0aFgA-Wc9TpIE_DO_jk6uONWJf_fuB2jFnqfT9M$>.

Although the date for full vaccination among covered employees has been moved, there has been no change to the effective dates in the EO.
