The Department of Communication Sciences and Special Education (CSSE) in the Mary Frances Early College of Education at the University of Georgia invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor with expertise in Speech-Language Pathology. This position is clinical, instructional, and collaborative. The position focuses primarily on clinical instruction and supervision for master's students who are learning to work with clients across the lifespan and who have a range of communication and swallowing needs. The successful candidate will also work closely with faculty, staff, and community members. This is a 9-month, non-tenure-track faculty position to begin Fall semester 2022.

Responsibilities will include all of the following and other related assignments:
-Clinical education and supervision of graduate students, including students learning to provide high-quality evidence-based services for a wide range of clients and families
- Instruction of clinical and/or academic material
-Interprofessional collaboration  Engaging in departmental, college, university, community, and/or professional service
-Provision of direct speech-language pathology clinical services

Required Qualifications include all of the following:
-Earned master's (M.A., M.S., M.Ed., or equivalent) or doctoral (Ph.D., SLP.D., or equivalent) degree in communication disorders, speech-language pathology, or a related field
-Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA)
-Documentation from ASHA that the applicant has met the 2020 ASHA certification standards for providing clinical instruction and supervision
-Current state licensure or equivalent credential to practice speech-language pathology in the candidate's state of residence, and eligible to hold Georgia licensure before August 1, 2022
-Five years of clinical experience in speech-language pathology
-One year of experience in clinical instruction or supervision of Clinical Fellows, interns, pre-service student clinicians, or SLP Assistants

Preferred Qualifications for this position include:
-Three or more years in clinical instruction or supervision of Clinical Fellows, interns, pre-service student clinicians, or SLP Assistants
-Two or more years of clinical experience in one or more of the following areas: neurogenic communication disorders, dysphagia, voice disorders, literacy, augmentative and alternative communication
-Two or more years providing services to bilingual or multilingual clients and families

The appointment will be for the regular 9-month academic year. Additional opportunities for summer employment may be available. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
