The question has arisen about verifying this information for others (e.g., clinical supervisors).

Go to the ASHA homepage and click on Certification (in the top "ribbon" on the left).  Once you are the Certification page, the top "box" will have a blue "button" ... Verify Certification.   Click, put in either an ASHA number or person's name and state.... You will then see a  box that is like the slide on the last page of the PP I sent earlier.

CFCC has really tried to work through all the possibilities.  Please feel free to let me know if you have other questions.  I will be glad to try to help.   The better educated we are... the more folks that can help to "spread the word."

Good news... the ASHA site has launched!  Please see this screen shot of my portal.  When you log in to our membership portal in ASHA, if you did your CEs with ASHA, it will give you a green check that you have the supervision CEs done.  And you can check that for your supervisors (external/preceptors).  I have also attached slides from CFCC that shows how the new portal will work.  You can also self-report the CEUs if done by a different provider (e.g., in Texas, the CEUs are TSHA)

Re: standards.    Those graduating in May 2019 MUST HAVE MADE APPLICATION FOR THEIR CCC by December 31, 2019 to remain on the old standards.  So even a December 2019 graduate could be on the old standards as long as his/her application has been received by December 31, 2019.  The CF experience does not have to be completed (can be finished in Feb, March, etc) but the application must be in.

Hello all -

I hope each and every one of you are doing well, and gearing up for CAPCSD!

I wanted to check in to see if any of you have heard when the ASHA database for supervisors will be launched?  I'm not sure that's the proper name of it, but the database will track clinical educators who are up-to-date with training in clinical education.  My students graduating in May will complete their CF year around February/March of 2020, and will complete their CCC application at that time.  I understand they will not be applying for their Cs under the 2020 standards (or are they?), but my current 1st year students will need to be mindful of finding an "approved" supervisor for their CF next year around this time.
