From brweber at stud.hs-bremen.de Fri Mar 21 09:24:46 2025 From: brweber at stud.hs-bremen.de (Bruno Weber) Date: Fri, 21 Mar 2025 14:24:46 +0100 Subject: [SC-MorphLab] Issue with the GPSA Software Message-ID: Dear Members of the FSU Morphometrics Lab, As a student of Biomimetics at the CUoas Bremen i am planning on using the GPSA software you developed and kindly provide on your website for a research Project on the Morphology of the femur-tibia joint of carausius morosus. My goal is to compare the joint across different growth stages to assess whether the scaling of local morphology deviates in any way from the scaling of the joint in a global scope. For this, besides a conventional landmark-based approach, your software seems very promising in offering an additional method of analysis. However, when trying to learn the software with the sample Datasets, also provided by you, I encountered an issue very early on. After selecting the prototype surface and one of the reference surfaces (for example male_1) and starting the gpsa, the program correctly creates the mean surface but then stops with an error message along the likes of: ?Error generating Heatmap, please see console log for further information? It would be of great help to me if you had any idea on what the issue might be. Additional Information at the end of this Mail. Thank you very much for your time in advance! Best regards, Bruno Weber City University of applied sciences Bremen Student of Biomimetics Specifics around the Issue: GPSA version: gpsa_20160308 data sets: single_species_data_orig_20160308 and single_species_data_100k_20160719 OS: macOS Sequoia 15.3.2 run through: the .jar file and the .sh script, same error Also tested on a windows 10 PC: Run through the .bat file
