Just a quick reminder related to the importance of accurate location codes within OMNI's asset records (a requirement of BOG Regulation 9.002-Recording and Marking of Property<https://www.flbog.edu/wp-content/uploads/9_002Final.pdf>). Location codes serve to identify the physical location (building and room) in which the capital asset is located. We understand that from time to time, for various reason, equipment locations may change. When your department has such an occurrence, the department's Property Manager should notify our office by completing and submitting a Capital Property Change Form<https://controller.vpfa.fsu.edu/sites/default/files/media/forms/Property/Property%20Change%20Form.pdf>. We in turn, update the property record for the new location.

University-owned property may be removed from campus locations only if it is required by a contract or grant, or if the use of the property in the off-campus location will further the goals of the University. Campus locations are buildings and areas owned or leased by the University. The removal of capital assets from campus locations must be authorized via the Off-Site Capital Equipment Use Form<https://controller.vpfa.fsu.edu/forms> (Off-Site Form), prior to removal.
