Hello All. I will continue the Monday lunch meetings this term (but with some new wrinkles), from 12.30-12.55 in Roberts 308. These sessions are always open to anyone in the law school community, and no experience or special ability is needed to get good results from this practice. I will do a couple of new things this term in addition to the core meditation training and practice. First, I will provide a few minutes of understanding now and then re. why the process works without effort and why it produces the range of results that people experience (and research confirms). Second, we will spend a minute or so occasionally, learning how to establish the same calm state of mind in class or any other time in the school day that you choose, and touch on how this would benefit both your effectiveness and health.
We begin with the first day of the term, this Monday January 6. I will provide one more general announcement about these meetings, but otherwise will just send brief update/reminder notes weekly to anyone who expresses interest in them. So, if you would like to be added to that internal email list for reminders, please email me back with subject line "Meditation Reminder List" or similar and I will get you added.
See you Monday! If you have questions just email me or drop by Adv. Center 313 during lunches or my office hours, generally 3.20-4.30 M - Th. Best wishes and happy new decade, Prof. Krieger
PS, my wife, Theresa, and I will also be offering an hour meeting on Five Critical Steps to Success in Law School, Wednesday Jan. 15 at 3:15 (watch monitors and Student Announcements for details). Theresa has a bundle of health provider and coach certifications; she is quite unique and has a lot to offer. She will also come occasionally to help with the Monday meditation sessions; I will notice those of you on that reminder email list of those opportunities as well.
