Then, please join us for our Spring 2021 Distinguished Lecture on "The New Urban Commons" with Professor Sheila Foster of Georgetown University (Feb. 24). We also invite you to two important programs on climate change: one a climate science presentation from Florida's state climatologist, David Zierden (Feb. 10th), and the other with Bob Inglis on why conservatives are positioned to lead on climate (March 10th). Rooftop solar energy has the potential to transform the provision and delivery of electricity. However, existing state law presents several obstacles to the widespread adoption of rooftop solar energy by residences, commercial properties, and industrial facilities. The 2021 Energy Law Panel will discuss the various economic opportunities for adopting rooftop solar energy, and legal reforms to facilitate its expansion. Join the discussion. Register here. In this lecture, Sheila Foster will discuss her research on the urban and commons and the idea of the city as a commons.
