We wanted to take a moment to share some information that may be of interest to you. FSU Law is a member of the Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law, a non-profit organization dedicated to education and the development of the law of natural and energy resources. As a member, FSU students are entitled to apply for scholarships and travel funding to the Foundation?s many Continuing Legal Education courses. Students are also entitled to individual student memberships, which are free. To join as a student, visit this site (scroll to bottom). To see programs that you might wish to attend, visit this site. Registration for students in these programs are free, and the Foundation will cover reasonable travel and lodging expenses. If more than one student from FSU is attending, you may be asked to share a room. Of course, registering for a program at the Foundation?s expense requires you to attend the program. Scholarship application forms will become available in December, and deadlines for application generally fall in the following February. You will need a letter of recommendation from an FSU environmental/natural resource/land use law professor. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. Some caveats apply (naturally, as we are all lawyers or aspiring lawyers): all final decisions about class offerings will be made internally by the Faculty, and we understand that even if you have a strong preference, you may not be able to take either class due to scheduling conflicts. This poll is simply to gauge general sentiment. You can vote anonymously at the link below.
