Earthjustice has just announced an externship opening for Spring 2022. They will be accepting applications until Nov. 17 (next Wednesday) at the below link. This unpaid position is open to any current 2L or 3L, and the student must be able to receive academic credit for their work (through the Externship Office, 4 credits available). The externship may be completed remotely, with the option to work in-person at their Tallahassee or Miami office if the office reopening plan proceeds on schedule and the student wishes to do so. The full posting with details on how to apply is available here: https://earthjustice.org/about/jobs/41375/spring-2022-legal-externship-florida-regional-office. Green Street Power Partners has proposed a new 4-credit Externship with the law school starting this Spring. This is a great local opportunity to work with in-house counsel in a rapidly growing solar company (and they are interested in hiring top students after graduation). We are working on getting this added to the Externship Canvas site for future semesters, but students can learn more and apply right away for consideration for Spring 2022 through Symplicity Job Post 20874. ELAW U.S. provides legal and scientific resources to grassroots advocates in approximately 80 countries. Legal interns assist the Staff Attorneys in responding to requests for assistance. These requests generate both short and long-term assignments on a wide range of legal topics, including climate change, plastic pollution, natural resource extraction and marine protection. Interns typically conduct legal research (US and international law), assist with writing briefs or other legal analyses, and help identify model laws and regulations. ELAW is now recruiting an Environmental Law Intern - Summer 2022 for Eugene, OR or remote (depending on preference). The internship is full-time for approximately 10 weeks starting mid- to late May. ELAW U.S. encourages successful applicants to secure funding from scholarships or their law schools, but such funding is not a factor in selecting interns. ELAW U.S. will supplement outside funding to ensure interns receive US$6,000 for the 10-week internship. QUALIFICATIONS: * ELAW welcomes applications from current second year (2L) and LLM students. * Successful applicants generally possess excellent research and writing skills and a strong dedication to public interest environmental law. * Proficiency in a language or languages other than English is preferred, but not required. * ELAW U.S. actively seeks applicants with diverse backgrounds. Please submit requested materials online at: https://elaw.org/summer-2022-environmental-law-internship Deadline: December 3, 2021 Good day! Jella Jella V.
