Scholarship funds are now available from the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF), including a New Equity and Inclusion Scholarship. Please see more details below. Deadline for application is on February 28, 2021.

The Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation has a number of scholarship programs: the Joe Rudd Scholarships, established in 1979 in honor of a prominent natural resources attorney in Alaska; the RMMLF Scholarships, established in 1993; the Frances Hartogh Diversity Outreach Scholarships; the Richard H. Bate Scholarships; the Catherine J. Boggs Scholarship; the James M. King Scholarship; the new Mary A. Viviano Scholarship, and the new Equity and Inclusion Scholarship.

Scholarships are awarded each year to support students who are interested in studying natural resources law and range from $1,000 to $15,000. This year the Foundation has almost $260,000 we are looking to award to deserving students.
Since the inception of the scholarship program, 612 scholarships have
been awarded totaling over $3.4 million.

The Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation has a new scholarship! The Equity and Inclusion Scholarship was established in 2020, and will be awarded to one or two JD applicants who meet the general scholarship criteria and who identify as either Black or Indigenous. To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled full time at an accredited law school. A student must demonstrate serious and diligent pursuit of academic achievement. Other criteria include leadership ability, year in law school, and financial need. If you know of a deserving student, who meets the qualifications, please share this opportunity with them!
