Staff Attorney - Penn State Center for Energy Law and Policy Message-ID: Dear FSU Environmental Law Graduating Students, and Recent Graduates, The Penn State Center for Energy Law and Policy plays a pivotal role in Penn State's efforts to become the nation's Energy University, serving the Commonwealth, nation, and world through research and partnerships that provide relevant information for current energy policy initiatives. The Center is actively seeking qualified applicants for the position of Staff Attorney. The Attorney will collaborate with the Directors and Center-funded faculty in organizing, coordinating, and executing the Center's research projects, workshops, and educational activities. The Attorney will also contribute centrally to researching, writing, editing, formatting, publishing, and disseminating the white papers and other reports prepared by Center faculty and faculty associates. The Attorney will additionally assist with on-campus courses and other educational initiatives sponsored by the Center, assisting with the preparation of course materials and potentially co-teaching courses with approval of the Penn State Law faculty. The Attorney may be asked to represent the Center through attending meetings and giving public presentations. This scholarship provides support for FSU law students who have shown a demonstrable interest in and commitment to environmental law. The scholarship also serves as a tribute to Professor Markell's outstanding legal scholarship, tireless work ethic, kindness, and mentorship. Eligible recipients shall be students who 1) are pursuing the Environmental Law Certificate, 2) are members of our Journal of Land Use & Environmental Law, 3) have demonstrated consistent work and/or volunteer experience in the field of environmental law, and/or 4) have demonstrated an interest and/or commitment in some other way to protect the environment. The scholarship will be awarded to 1-2 students in early January 2022. The award amount will be $2,000-$4,000, depending on the number of recipients.
