Job Summary:
The St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) Office of General Counsel is seeking to fill an Assistant General Counsel I position. In this position, the attorney will represent the District in civil and administrative proceedings, as well as in permitting and enforcement regulatory matters. The attorney will work closely with District staff and other stakeholders, and will provide legal analysis, advice, and representation to the District. The successful candidate will have a diligent work ethic, a proven ability to communicate and collaborate with team members, oral advocacy skills, superior writing skills, proven organizational abilities, demonstrated attentiveness to detail, demonstrated confidence and comfort working under pressure with deadlines and a commitment to personal integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:
Juris Doctor from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association and admission to the Florida Bar. Candidates who are awaiting admission to the Florida Bar or are preparing to graduate from an ABA-accredited law school and intend to sit for the July 2020 Florida Bar Examination will also be considered.
