Good afternoon Professor David,

I'm contacting you on the recommendation of Leslie Powell, Executive Director of Legal Services of North Florida.  I'm the Disaster Coordinator Attorney at LSNF and I'm looking for a part time law clerk for the disaster project we are working on here.  Leslie indicated you are doing some disaster work at the law school and may encounter students looking for a part time clerking position.

Here is the job description:


Legal Services of North Florida is hiring a law student intern to assist our Disaster Pro Bono Coordinator in the development and implementation of a training program to benefit pro bono attorneys volunteering to help disaster survivors and cross-training of legal and non-legal responders of each other's roles.  This position is part of a grant funded by the Legal Services Corporation in response to and to improve services to survivors of the 2017 Hurricanes and Wildfires.  The Disaster Legal Services Law Clerk is funded through June 2020 at rate of $15 per hour for an average of 20 hours/week.  Position is available immediately in the Tallahassee office.
Responsibilities and duties include conducting legal research and writing; assisting the supervising attorney to develop training programs and curriculum for the legal community and non-legal disaster responders; and performing other related duties as assigned.
