Dear Environmental Certificate students and ELS members,

I've pasted below an announcement for an ALI CLE program in D.C. in early February that is providing full-tuition scholarships for a limited number of students nationwide. The ALI CLE sponsors are not defraying travel or other costs. Dean Benavides is happy to discuss possible sources of funding, but it is not clear whether funds will be available to help with the costs. If you are interested in being nominated for a scholarship, please let Lindsey Hatcher know by Nov. 19th and provide a brief statement explaining why you would like to participate in the program as well as your resume.

Thanks very much.
Dave Markell

Dear Dean Weidner:

ALI CLE has approved a limited number of full-tuition scholarships to allow deserving law students to attend the ALI CLE Course, Environmental Law, to be held Wednesday - Friday, February 4 - 6, 2015, at the Washington Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C. For a PDF file of the announcement describing this course, please click on the following link http://files.ali-aba.org/pdf/2015-CW014scholarship-flyer.pdf. We will provide hard copies of the announcement for posting at school upon request. More information can also be found at http://www.ali-cle.org/CW014.

ALI CLE will accept the first 25 scholarship nominations from across the country for full-time students currently matriculated in law school on a first-come basis. One student of your choosing will be offered attendance at the live program. Additional students will be able to watch the live video webcast of the course. Unfortunately, no funds are available to defray students' travel and on-site expenses in connection with this course.

All nominations must be received no later than Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Please include the students' full names, local addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses so that acknowledgments may be emailed directly to the student. Please also indicate which student would prefer to attend the course in person.

Please direct your nominations to my assistant, Pam McCutcheon DeLarge, at pmccutcheon at ali-cle.org<mailto:pmccutcheon at ali-cle.org>.

Thanks very much for your time and cooperation.

Sincerely yours,
Kevin J. O'Connor
