I am pleased to share that John Palmer joined the Institute for Successful Longevity today, September 11, as our new Program Coordinator.

John brings extensive experience in program management, community engagement, higher education, and nonprofit leadership. Most recently, he served as Volunteer Services Director at Volunteer Florida, where he led statewide volunteer engagement initiatives, managed programs and partnerships, and worked closely with state agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders across Florida. He previously worked in student services at Tallahassee State College and has held several leadership roles focused on education, volunteer engagement, and community outreach. In his new role, John will support many aspects of ISL's activities, including our Brown Bag talks and Distinguished Lecture Series, faculty and student engagement, research and grant-planning activities, community outreach, communications and social media, working group meetings, and other institute programs and events. These responsibilities are central to the Program Coordinator position and to ISL's continued growth.

Throughout the interview process, we were particularly impressed by John's strong communication and organizational skills, positive and collaborative approach, and enthusiasm for ISL's mission. I believe he is a wonderful addition to our team.
