[Isl] 2026 FSU ISL Student Poster Day

Dear all,

We are excited to share that this year’s ISL Student Poster Day will begin with a Career Panel featuring three incredible ISL faculty affiliates Dr. Amy Qing-Xiang Sang, Dr. Joseph Watso, and Dr. Julia Sheffler. During this session, our panelists will share insights from their career journeys and offer practical advice on building a successful career in aging and longevity research. We hope this discussion will provide valuable perspectives for students interested in interdisciplinary research and professional development in this field. Please encourage students and postdoc trainees in your lab to attend the event.

We also encourage graduate and undergraduate students to submit posters and take advantage of this opportunity to present their work, receive feedback, and engage with faculty and peers in the aging research community.

Poster submissions are due March 6, and space is limited, so we encourage students to apply early.

Note that if the PDF version of the poster is not ready by tomorrow, they can send it to us by next Friday March 13 so the judges can evaluate the content of the poster before the presentation day. The presenters are responsible for printing their own posters.

Dear ISL affiliates and students,

We are pleased to announce the 2026 ISL Student Poster Day, which will be held on March 23, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Innovation Hub in the Louis Shores Building.

ISL Poster Day provides a supportive, low-stakes environment for students to showcase their aging-related research, practice their poster presentations, and receive constructive feedback in preparation for larger conferences and the Undergraduate Research Symposium in April. We warmly invite both graduate and undergraduate students to participate.

Event Schedule:

  *   9:30 AM - 10 AM - Poster Setup

  *
10:00 – 11:00 AM - Keynote or Career Panel
  *   11:00 AM – 12:30 PM - Poster Session & Judging

  *   12:30 – 1:00 PM - Awards & Reception

Awards will be presented to outstanding student posters.

Logistics

  *   Students must upload a PDF of their poster and an abstract as part of the application.

  *   Space is limited, and we encourage early submissions.
