The program supports projects that aim to demonstrate and evaluate the impact of prescribing fresh fruits and vegetables on (1) the improvement of dietary health through increased consumption of fruits and vegetables; (2) the reduction of individual and household food insecurity; and (3) the reduction in healthcare use and associated costs.

The agency deadline is July 16, 2026.  FSU is permitted to submit one application.

Because the agency released this funding opportunity fewer than 8 weeks before the deadline, FSU is now launching an “Accelerated Limited Submissions” internal competition to select the PI to submit an application on behalf of the university.

Rather than submit through the FSU Limited Submissions portal in the standard way, interested PIs should submit a one-page Concept Paper via email to me (cbradley at fsu.edu<mailto:cbradley at fsu.edu>).  In the Concept Paper, please provide a brief description of the project, project team, and budget.

Concept Papers are due to me by Mon., June 22, 2026 at 5pm ET.
