[Isl] Request for Endorsement for ISL Associate Director for Clinical & Translational Research

Dear ISL Faculty Affiliates and Joint Advisory Board members,

I hope you are doing well!

Following Dr. Lynn Panton's retirement, ISL has been working to strengthen its leadership structure to support the institute's continued growth and strategic priorities. After discussions with the Provost's Office and several colleagues, I would like to propose the appointment of Dr. Julia Sheffler as Associate Director for Clinical & Translational Research.

Attached are a brief description of the proposed role and Dr. Sheffler's CV for your review. The role is intended to strengthen ISL's clinical and translational research infrastructure, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, expand student research opportunities, and enhance our capacity for externally funded research.
