Dear ISL Faculty Affiliates,

Thank you for submitting your achievements to our Annual Report data request! I am proud to share highlights from ISL’s 2024–2025 Annual Report that reflect the collective strength of our aging research community at Florida State University.

Together, our affiliates have continued to elevate FSU’s reputation in aging research through outstanding research, collaboration, and innovation:

  *
75 grant proposals submitted and 29 funded awards, totaling $17.98 million in new external funding.
  *
105 faculty publications and 73 student publications, with 58 co-authored across FSU departments—demonstrating strong interdisciplinary engagement.
  *
Over 120 national and regional conference presentations, showcasing our leadership in aging, health, technology, and social science research.
  *
Continued growth of the Research Volunteer Registry, now supporting over 140 research projects.
  *

These achievements were made possible through the dedication and creativity of our affiliates spanning 11 colleges, including Arts & Sciences, Communication & Information, Medicine, Nursing, Social Work, Anne’s College, Business, Engineering, Criminology, Music, and Fine Arts. Your collective efforts ensure that FSU remains a leader in aging and longevity research.

We are also grateful for your participation in our working groups (Advanced Technology, Clinical Research, and Basic Science), brown bag talks, our lecture series, student poster day, and planning grant program, which continue to foster collaboration and inspire the next generation of scholars.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for advancing ISL’s mission to promote research and community engagement that improve health, function, and quality of life across the lifespan. I look forward to another year of innovation and collaboration!
