Dr. Zhe He, I am writing to see if there might be a person from FSU ISL that would be interested or recommended as an advisor for the draft Tallahassee Age-Friendly Workplan being developed by the Tallahassee Senior Center and Planning. It would be in a draft review and advisory capacity providing input on the plan as it is drafted and updated from late December 2025 to February 2026.  It would be voluntary and there is no compensation for it. The group would also include Dr. Katy Cao and be coordinated with Planning staff.



Planning staff including myself, Marcus Thompkins and Camila Reyes are assisting the Tallahassee Senior Center is updating the workplan to continue the community’s participation in the AARP Florida Network of Age-Friendly Communities<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.aarp.org%2Flivable-communities%2Fnetwork-age-friendly-communities%2F&data=05%7C02%7Cisl%40lists.fsu.edu%7Ce77db0f8cd014fd485f708de287ded26%7Ca36450ebdb0642a78d1b026719f701e3%7C0%7C0%7C638992718462239679%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=3zdE3qa1mvqe4dpEgcNphVKhDzhUZRxeDUYS%2F%2FuzC8w%3D&reserved=0> (AFC). The workplan is a guidance document that promotes continued and improved livability and age-friendly conditions within the community on a 5-year cycle with 2-3 years of implementation. The City of Tallahassee completed its first cycle and is moving into implementation for its second cycle. Let me know if there are more details needed.
